Creating Your Online Weblog

With Famster, you can keep an online journal, often called a blog.  This lets you write articles or entries for your visitors to view and respond to.  You can add content to your blog by clicking New Entry.  Famster's blog feature lets you add both text and images to your entries, as well as control the layout and positioning.

When you first visit the Blog, you will see Famster default content.  You can learn how to delete this content in our Advanced User Guide. Follow the simple steps below to add your own content.

1. Click Create an Entry.
2. Enter a title for the new entry and click Submit.
3. Click Add New Text.
4. Type in your desired text, then click Save.
5. To add an image to the entry, click the Add Image icon.
6. There are three locations an image can be added from:
   • If the image is on your computer, click the first Browse button to find and upload the image
   • If the image is from another website, type the full URL of the image, and click Add>
   • If you have already uploaded the desired image to another Famster component, click the final Browse button to find the image
7. When you're finished with the current entry, click Save Layout.

Your Famster blog entries will be kept archived, sorted by month. You can edit or delete previous entries as desired.

When visitors reply to your blog entries using the Comments option, the responses will be submitted for your approval.  When you login to the blog, you will see a message telling you that there are comments pending approval.  Click the message, and a window will come up listing each comment.  Simply approve or delete each comment as desired.
